Tonight at 5PM – Chula Vista Ad-Hoc Bicycle Advisory Group Meeting

If you live in Chula Vista and would like to play a role in making Chula Vista more bicycle friendly, the City Staff would love to hear your thoughts. Tom Adler [tadler@chulavistaca.gov] sent this invite out looking for some squeaky wheels. The meeting will take place at Donny’s Cafe at 5PM located at 3901 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902

Please join me (Wednesday October 3, 2012)  to help nudge the City in the right direction for bicycle infrastructure.

Some thoughts for tomorrow’s meeting:

  • Randy Van Vleck’s effort to get a bike path in the SDG&E corridor (second to I-805)
  • Your thoughts on bike lanes on “H” st @ I-805 – I’d call this one job a top 5 priority – what do you think?  we are hiring John Ciccarelli to help out on this one
  • Your thoughts on bike lanes on E. Palomar East of I-805 after the Bus Rapid Transit construction (lanes exist today, we’d like to keep them post construction)
  • A drive to get sharrows on J st (all of J St) – I need someone to be a squeaky wheel.
  • A recent successful grant to get bike lane on Orange ave near Max ave
  • A recent successful grant to master plan Main St.
