USD to Host Mayoral Debate Covering Transportation Issues

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, September 19th. The University of San Diego along with other local advocacy groups have stepped up to host a mayoral debate covering transportation issues.

What: Mayoral Debate on Local Transportation Issues
When: Wednesday, September 19
Time: 6:30pm – 9pm
Where: University of San Diego’s Shiley Theatre
Cost$5 (or $10 at the door)

According to the organizers,the debate will address what the mayoral candidates have planned for the following issues:

  • Improving and increasing transportation choices beyond car
  • Livable, walkable and bikeable communities
  • Sustainable, smart urban growth and development
  • Providing employment opportunities close to home and vice-versa

Local organizations behind the program include the Walk San Diego, The San Diego County Bicycle Coalition, MOVE San Diego, and The San Diego/Tijuana Chapter of Urban Land Institute.
