Cross Pollination

On August 30th, BikeSD hosted the Cross Pollination Event at Park & Rec in University Heights! It was a complete success. It brought together amazing local non-profit organizations, student groups, and the community.

It allowed for an exchange of wonderful ideas and projects that each group is working on to make San Diego a better and more livable city.

Save the date! Our 3rd annual Gears & Cheers fundraiser is Thursday, November 6, 2025 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm at Pretzels & Pints in North Park.

Legislation that Saves Lives: AB43 and AB413 Campaign Update

We have partnered with Families for Safe Streets SD to continue working with the City on Phase 2 of AB43 roll out - prioritizing school zones!

AARP Events + Dates

BikeSD received a grant from AARP to conduct bike audits of Fairmount Avenue.

There are two upcoming opportunities to be involved below - bikes not required!

1. Mini-audit Sunday 9/7 

   • 11-12:30 PM

     1. Meet at GEM Coffee and walk to Fairmount Ave. & El Cajon Blvd. to observe conditions. 

2. Full audit Sunday 10/5 

   • 10 AM - 12:30 PM

     1. Meet at Officer Jeremy Henwood Memorial Park.

El Cajon Blvd Hackathon on September 27th, 10 AM - 2 PM

Join us as we reimagine El Cajon Blvd between 43rd and Euclid Ave. Compete with a team to propose infrastructure improvements for safety.

BikeSD Presents: CityNerd on Wednesday, October 8th 6 - 8 PM

BikeSD Presents an evening with Ray Delahanty, host of the urbanist Youtube channel CityNerd.

Join us at the historic Adams Ave Theater to connect with local transit & city lovers, hear all of CityNerd's hot takes on San Diego urban issues, and ask your burning questions for Ray at the Q&A.

Original 40 Monthly Fundraiser on Monday, September 22, 2025, from 6 - 8 PM. 10% of all sales will be donated back to BikeSD.

Come by and support a local business and safe streets advocacy!

We're joining the first ever San Diego Transit Month next month, September 2025!

We've been working hard alongside BuildSD, RideSD, and other local organizations to create a slate of events that celebrate transit riders all month long.

There will be talks, "ride-along" events, day trips, and casual meetups across the region.

In the spirit of Transit Month, there's also a Ride Contest running throughout September, where you can log your MTS, NCTD, or Triton Transit trips and earn "tokens" and prizes!
