The Union Tribune’s Transportation reporter, Bob Hawkins, finally covers the missing link in transportation: bicycling. The impetus for writing the story was SANDAG’s Board voting to allocate over $2 billion toward bicycle infrastructure over the next 40 years. Bob spoke to me about my opinions over the phone and I got to be profiled along with other giants such as Charlie Gandy, Dr. Sherry Ryan and Kathy Keehan.
L.A. is in the process of passing a Anti-Harassment Ordinance to protect bicyclists in part due to the efforts of activists such as Ted Rogers (via reader, Sigurd).
The North American Handbuilt Bicycle Show comes to an end and Jonathan Maus coverage is both insightful and inspiring.
