There's going to be a lot of work between where we are now and where the plaza will hopefully be in 2014. so far the proposal is simply to move the road over to the west side of the plaza, removing the parking in front of the art museum and making it a pedestrian plaza (really just extending the Prado out to the fountain), but cars will continue to be able to get through the park on the Laurel Street bridge, through the plaza and down to the air and space museum. It's a step, a slow one, but one in the right direction.
