Posted By Sam Ollinger on February 21, 2010

The Uptown Partnership will be hosting a meeting and is looking for community input from residents at Bankers Hill-Park West neighborhoods on how to “increase parking opportunities, calm traffic, reduce congestion, promote walking and biking, increase pedestrian safety.”

The meeting is scheduled to be held on February 23, 2010 from 6 PM – 7:15 PM at Park Manor Suites, 525 Spruce Street San Diego, CA 92103. The meeting will be held on the second floor in the Balboa Room.

More details are available at the Uptown Partnership’s blog.

A really easy way to accomplish the last 4 objectives is to reverse the first objective. Limiting parking opportunities will reduce congestion, increase walking and cycling, calm traffic, and increase pedestrian safety. 4 out of 5 ain’t bad.

  2. I may have to stop by there. It would be on my way home.

So Mike, did you go? What did they say?

  4. It wasn’t quite what I thought it would be. Basically, a plan they had already come up with was presented. Nothing was mentioned about bicycles in that plan, it was mostly stop signs and traffic signals.
