What to do this weekend?

Posted By Sam Ollinger on August 28, 2009

Every San Diego cyclist can be busy every single day from sunrise to sunset just doing various group rides around San Diego County. But what are some of the highlights for this weekend?

  • Tonight (August 28):  San Diego’s Critical Mass begins at 7PM at the big fountain in Balboa Park. Don’t be shy to cork, and don’t be an asshat. But do have fun.
  • Saturday (August 29): To recover from Critical Mass, why not ride to the City Heights Farmers’ Market? Buy some fresh produce and stop by and chat with the folks over at the Bike Kitchen.
  • Sunday (August 30): You have a choice of a slow, meandering, conversationally paced Down Townies Ride, or you can use the stamina built up from Critical Mass to ride the 25 miler Bike the Bay ride.

If none of the rides above strike your fancy, you can always pick something you like from the ever-growing San Diego bicycle events calendar.
